NEWS Monument Unveiled at Décor-1 PGW 'Omnipresent Life', a monument by the prominent sculptor G.Pototsky was unveiled at Décor-1 Peshelansky Gypsum Works on August 28. During the ceremony, V.S.Lavrov announced that 'Omnipresent Life' (also known as 'Combating Stereotypes') was a gift to the Company from the International Kindness Academy in recognition of an invaluable contribution to the development of Russia's cultural capital and economy. A Great Event Report on the celebration of the 76th anniversary of Décor-1 PGW LLC and the Miner’s Day. Busy preparations for the celebration began in the morning of August 28 with the installation of stands, tents, makeshift retail outlets, attractions, and stage platforms. Company employees and guests flocked to Shaktior stadium, the venue of the day’s main festivities. Victory as the Best Present On August 28, Peshelansky Gypsum Works celebrated the Miner’s Day. All day long, Shaktior stadium hosted various exhibitions, lotteries and draw games. Of course, the festivities could not do without a musical performance. Personnel Training for Gypsum Fiber Board Shop To prepare for the future production of gypsum fiber boards, an onsite training was organized for 27 of the Company employees at the Tambov-based Tamak Co., which manufactures cement fiber boards using a similar technology. Achievements
During the 1999-2000 season, the PGW football team came second in the district championship, winning the District Cup and the Super Cup. During the 2001-2002 season, our team, led by chief coach (the mine’s manager F. N. Vaganov) fought its way to the Nizhniy Novgorod regional championship. In 2002, the football team of Peshelansky Gypsum Works participated in the regional football championship (Division II) , winning the sixth place. In 2003, after a string of 16 straight victories, Shaktior became winner of the regional football championship for Division II teams. 2004 was marked by the Peshelansky Gypsum Works football teams’ excellent performance in the Nizhniy Novgorod regional championship (League I), where the team won the third place. In 2005, Shaktior fought its way to the finals of the Nizhniy Novgorod regional championship (Premier League). The team has retained its position for 3 years. In 2007, Shaktior came second in a tournament of the Volga region football clubs and after that won the Nizhniy Novgorod Regional Cup. On February 23, 2008, the traditional Shaktior Cup snow football tournament was held. In May 2008, Shaktior began a series of matches within the framework of the National Championship for League III (amateur teams in the Volga region). In a tough struggle with serious adversaries, the Décor-1 Peshelansky Gypsum Works team came third with 25 victories in 36 matches. With 28 goals, Aleksey Zabolotny was named the championship’s best shooter. |
