![]() ![]() ![]() Gypsum Binders Workshop
The Company has been producing plaster gypsum since its establishment in 1933. Production of molding (fine-grain) gypsum started in 1964. In the 75 years of the Companys existence, its equipment has gone through a number of modernizations and process improvements. At present, incoming gypsum rock is delivered from the mine by a narrow-gauge railway and loaded into the receiving hopper of the gypsum binders workshop. A slat conveyor feeds the raw material into a roll-jaw crusher and then to a hammer mill. Crushed gypsum rock (fraction 0-20 mm) is loaded into the process lines feeding hoppers. The next operation is heat treatment. Crushed gypsum is calcinated in 3 drying drums by flue gas received from the combustion of natural gas. Calcinated material to be used for the production of plaster gypsum is milled in a shaft mill and ball grinders. After pulverization, gypsum grit leaves the ball grinder and is transported to the finished product storage for plaster gypsum. To produce molding gypsum, raw material is pulverized in ball grinders operating in a closed loop with a centrifugal separator. Pulverized semihydrate is fed to the separator where it is separated into fine (molding gypsum) and coarse (reclaim) fractions. After separation, gypsum is transported to two metal hoppers in the finished product area, where it is packed into bags and placed on pallets to form bundles. Complete bundles are transported by fork-lifts to the loading area or to the finished product warehouse for storage. Modernization of the gypsum binders workshop is planned for 2009. The Company is currently negotiating the purchase of modern equipment. |
