Gypsum blocks are Peshelansky Gypsum Works oldest-manufactured product. In the 1970s, blocks were produced on a rotary press. Modern equipment was installed at the shop in the 1990s. In 2007, the Company started production of feather-and-slot gypsum blocks. Gypsum for the blocks is delivered to the shop by trucks and loaded into the receiving hopper. The automatic feather-and-slot block plant is equipped with its own control panel. Technological process is fully automated and mechanized. The automatic block plant comprises the following units:
he plants operating principle boils down to an alternating positioning of the mold at the workstations. Once the mold is in position, it is lubricated and filled with the gypsum slurry. Excess gypsum slurry is removed and the finished gypsum block is stripped from the mold. The carousel has a total of 12 workstations. The prepared gypsum slurry is poured from the mixer into a pre-cleaned and lubricated mold. When the mold is filled with the slurry, it moves to the next workstation where excess gypsum slurry is removed, while the next mold is positioned for filling. Gypsum slurry is hardening while moving further from one workstation to another. On the last workstation, the gypsum block is pushed up from the mold and kept in that position until it is cured completely. After that, the block is placed on a transfer table. Next, the block is placed on a pallet, normally containing 96 standard or 50 feather-and-slot gypsum blocks. Gypsum blocks dry in natural conditions. When needed or requested by customer, blocks are packed in plastic bags and released for delivery by trucks or railway. |
