Manufacturing Facilities

Décor-1 Peshelansky Gypsum Works LLC has a raw materials base of its own — a mine sitting on the Bebyaevo gypsum stone deposit.
he current annual production capacity of the mine is 300 K tons of gypsum stone.

Reconstruction of the mine, scheduled to begin in 2008, is to increase its production capacity to 500 K tons/year after phase 1. Phase 2, planned for the future, is to increase the mine’s annual production capacity to 1 million tons.

7% of all gypsum stone mined by the Company is sold as raw material. The rest is processed in the Company’s gypsum binders shop with the rated annual production capacity of 185 K tons, including 20 K tons of gypsum binders for the porcelain, faience and ceramic ware industry and 165 K tons of gypsum binders for construction purposes. Of these, some 69 K tons are sold on the market and the remaining 96 K tons are used by the Company for the manufacture of gypsum-based products.

Gypsum product shop consists of 3 areas:

— № 1 area: production of feather-and-slot boards, with a rated capacity of 1,600,000 m2/year;
— № 2 area: production of feather-and-slot boards, with a rated capacity of 360 K m2/year;
— Production of gypsum wall blocks (size 390×190 × 188 mm) and feather-and-slot gypsum boards (500×250 × 200 mm).

Following completion of the mine’s reconstruction project phase 1, the Company is planning to increase the gypsum binders shop’s production capacity to 435,000 tons per year. To this end, the Company is contemplating installation of a calcinations system with an annual rated capacity of 250,000 K tons, to service the existing feather-and-slot board production shop and a gypsum wood fiber board production shop (with the rated capacity of 50 K m2/year) scheduled for commissioning in June of this year.

When the new gypsum binders shop is put into operation, the Company will proceed with the reconstruction of the feather-and-slot board production shop (to increase the annual production capacity to 3 million m2).
